Back In Blu Business

Paramount and Dreamworks have announced their official entry back into the Blu-Ray game, with rereleases of their entire previously released catalog, in addition to titles that were canceled last minute before the HD-DVD exclusivity switch, such as Next, Face/Off, and Blades Of Glory, all returning May 20th. Also announced today were a May 20th release for Bee Movie, a June 3rd release for There Will Be Blood and Cloverfield, and a day-and-date release for The Spiderwick Chronicles on June 24th.

I'm Right Here

The Weinstein Company has announced a May 6th release date for the unconventional Bob Dylan biopic, I'm Not There. The film features Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere, Marcus Carl Franklin, Ben Whishaw, Christian Bale, and the late Heath Ledger all portraying different interpretations of Dylan.

Best Of Both Formats

The highest grossing per-screen film of all time, Hannah Montana And Miley Cyrus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert, is coming home on August 19th, and this time you won't be at the mercy of greedy scalpers. A DVD version and Blu-Ray are both planned for release, and are set to include both 2-D and 3-D versions of the film.

Jump(er) In!

Doug Liman's sci-fi adventure Jumper is "jumping" to DVD and Blu-Ray on June 10th. A single disc edition containing both fullscreen and widescreen formats of the film will be available, as will a 2 disc special edition and a Blu-Ray edition.

Meet The Spartans, the third spoof directed by the inexplicably successful duo of filmmakers Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, is coming home June 3rd. The film will be available in its theatrical PG-13 form, an Unrated Pit Of Death Edition DVD, and an Unrated Pit Of Death Edition Blu-Ray.

They're Tiny, They're Toony...

Warner Bros. has announced the long awaited release of Tiny Toon Adventures: Season 1 - Volume 1 for a July 29th release date. Produced by Steven Spielberg, the show featured child versions of Looney Tunes favorites. Also releasing on July 29th is season one of the Spielberg produced Freakazoid.
