Transformers Headed To Blu-Ray

The 2007 smash hit Transformers is finally headed to Blu-Ray on September 2nd. One of the most requested films not yet available on Blu-Ray, Transformers found itself in the middle of a format war controversy last fall when director Michael Bay stated that there was no way that Transformers would ever look as good on HD-DVD as it would on Blu-Ray. No word yet if Bay will be recording a new "I told you so" commentary track. Also making their Blu-Ray debuts on September 16th from Dreamworks are the computer animated films Shrek The Third and Madagascar.

Spotted! GG On DVD!

Blogging about a show whose titular character is blogging is a little too meta for me, so I'll keep this brief: The first season of The CW's hit show Gossip Girl is coming to DVD August 19th, just enough time for you to catch up before the start of season two. Guilty pleasures, prepare to be indulged.
